A structured four-week engagement that connects your German city choice, housing brief, paperwork sequence and first search actions.
Who this is for
The Roadmap is the flagship consultation for individuals, couples and families who expect to move to Germany within three to twelve months but have not yet aligned city, rent ceiling and timeline. It suits international moves where remote research has produced too many tabs and too few firm decisions.
What you receive
We begin with a 75-minute planning call about household size, employment location, visa pathway, transport preferences, school or childcare needs, daily routines and the monthly amount you can sustain beyond cold rent. You then receive:
- a comparison of up to three German cities or commuter areas;
- a housing brief covering target districts, warm-rent ceiling, size and non-negotiables;
- an application-document checklist and viewing-question sheet;
- a twelve-week action sequence tied to your planned arrival;
- two 45-minute review calls and email questions during the engagement.
The work is delivered by founder and relocation adviser Mina Voss. Calls take place online in English, with Frankfurt meetings available by arrangement.
How the four weeks unfold
Week one — constraints before preferences
We separate genuine requirements from attractive extras. A short commute may carry more weight than a central postcode; Anmeldung timing may matter more than a balcony. This produces a clear basis for comparing locations.
Week two — city and district comparison
Mina examines rental conditions, likely commute patterns, neighbourhood character and the practical reach of your budget. The point is not to declare one city universally best, but to identify where your own trade-offs are workable.
Week three — search preparation
We shape search alerts, application order, viewing questions and a document folder. You will know which claims in an advert need checking and when to ask about the total warm rent, index-linked increases or minimum term.
Week four — a plan you can carry forward
The final call tests the shortlist and resolves open choices. Your written roadmap records decisions, deadlines and fallback options.
Boundaries and preparation
Digital Trackbase does not act as an estate agent, attend viewings, translate contracts, provide legal or immigration advice, guarantee a tenancy, or transfer money on your behalf. Before our first call, send your likely work location, target moving month, household details, indicative gross income and current city ideas. Never send passports, bank statements or other sensitive documents.
